Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the "sacraments of Christian initiation, whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace. Catechism of the Catholic Church 1285
Confirmation is typically conferred on children in second grade, on the day of their First Holy Communion. For more information on the Sacramental Formation process please look under the Faith Formation section of the website.
Any adults who have not been Confirmed, but are Baptized and have made their First Communion are invited to attend a special educational session focusing on the Sacrament. They are then Confirmed by the Bishop in a ceremony held in the spring.
